Music - Home:
My music taste is eclectic, ranging from my “countryside” composers, Moeran, Vaughan
Williams, Butterworth and Delius, to a few classical and more modern composers,
Telemann and Reich, then onto the blues and folk, the sixties through the seventies and
into the wide, weird and wonderful world of BBC Radio 6 Music.
I play the acoustic guitar, not well, but well enough and in my own finger-picking style.
Among my favourite guitarists are John Fahey, Nick Drake, Mississippi John Hurt and
Robin Williamson – not forgetting Allan Watson/Lol Robinson! I also love flamenco, but
more the rhythms rather than the actual solos – and I’m nowhere near good enough to
try any of it!
As a result of an unsuccessful search for information on the web about new chords, in a
form which was accessible to people with sight loss, I ended up working on a project to
develop such a website. You can read more about that here.
You can read about some special gigs, which I really enjoyed taking part in, here.
